University publishing house of Halle-Wittenberg
The publishing house was founded in 2009 as an independent company. It is managed independently, but in close consultation with the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg.
The uvHW followes the research program of the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg. Nevertheless this also includes publications by authors and editors who are not members of the university. The publishing house is concerned with all types of scientific publications such as papers and writings, monographs and collective volumes in various research fields.
The concept of the publisher rests on three pillars:
1. Content quality
2. High quality presentation
3. Exceptional service
The publishing house only publishes distinguished dissertations and scientific papers. Dissertations must be graded with summa cum laude or magna cum laude to be included in the program. All submitted manuscripts are reviewed by the Scientific Advisory Board. The publisher is bound by the vote of the advisory board.
High quality presentation
All books published by the uvHW are typeset by qualified specialists. This guarantees a high-grade appearance, which is underlined by off-white, eye-friendly and haptic quality paper.
The publisher takes care of the typeset and the print preparation of all manuscripts. This means that the authors do not have to bother about technical details, but merely have to provide a ready-to-use manuscript in electronic form. In addition, the publisher provides its authors with a generous number of free copies.
